Anganwadi worker dies in road mishap, locals block road, watch
The family of the deceased and locals have blocked the road by placing the body near Ambedkar Chowk in Tumudibandh.
Baliguda: In a tragic incident an Anganwadi worker died in a road mishap in Kandhamal district of Odisha on Saturday. The locals claimed that a government bus hit the Anganwadi didi near Ushabali police station in Belghar area.
Accordingly, they have blocked road claiming justice and compensation for the family of the deceased. Tension prevailed in the area following death of the Anganwadi worker.
The deceased woman has been identified as Snehalata Majhiaset, the Anganwadi Didi of Ushabali Anganwadi Center in Kandhamal district.
As per reports, the incident took place when the bus was coming from Belghar towards Phulbani. After death of the Anganwadi Didi, there has been tension in the Tumudibandh area.
The family of the deceased and locals have blocked the road by placing the body near Ambedkar Chowk in Tumudibandh.
After getting information, Tumudibandh police reached the spot and are tried to pacify the protestors.
