Ama Bus staff on indefinite steering down protest over delay in salary, 43 buses affected
The Ama Bus drivers and conductors have alleged that they are working without any social security and their salary has been delayed.
Bhubaneswar: Ama Bus staff members have started an indefinite ‘steering down’ protest at the Pokhariput depot today over delay in salary. As many as 43 buses are not running today due to the protests.
The Ama Bus drivers and conductors have alleged that they are working without any social security and have thus gone on an indefinite steering down protest. Their salary has not been credited even after 42 days said the protestors.
According to information, the salary of Ama bus staff is credited on the 10th of every month. However in August, they had received their salary on 11th and have not received their salaries in September till date. Thus they have hit the streets protesting against the same.
The officials have been assuring that they will get their salaries but it has not been deposited in their accounts. They have also alleged that there are no rest room facilities and they have to overtimes and go through a lot of pressure for the same.
Similarly, they have complained that they do not ESI benefits and now even the salary provided by CRUT is getting delayed.
