Additional Tehsildar of Barang under vigilance net in DA case
Vigilance conducted searches at four locations of Jitendra Panda, Addl Tahasildar of Barang on allegations of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha vigilance conducted searches at four locations of Jitendra Kumar Panda, Additional Tahasildar of Barang tahasil, on allegations of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted at a triple-storeyed building in Gopaluni Nagar in the Badagada area, another triple-storeyed building in Badagada Brit Colony, a double-storeyed building in Sanapalla in Khordha, and his office chamber at Barang Tahasil, Cuttack.
According to official sources, the searches were launched following the registration of a case by the Vigilance department. The operation is being carried out based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
A multi-member Vigilance team led by four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) has been deployed for the searches. The team comprises seven Inspectors, one Sub-Inspector, eight Assistant Sub-Inspectors and other supporting staff.
The search operations were still continuing.
