Additional Tahasildar Pradipta Kumar Sethi caught while taking bribe of Rs 30,000
Binjharpur Additional Tahasildar Pradipta Kumar Sethi, who is also the Tahasildar in-charge, was caught by Odisha vigilance while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.
Jajpur: Binjharpur Additional Tahasildar Pradipta Kumar Sethi, who is also the Tahasildar in-charge, was caught by Odisha vigilance while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.
The Vigilance sleuths apprehended Sethi while demanding and taking bribe Rs.30,000 from a land owner for favourable demarcation of his land.
The entire tainted bribe money Rs 30,000 has been recovered from possession of the Additional Tahasildar and seized.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.36/2025, U/s-7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against the accused Additional Tahasildar.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the rented residential house of Sethi at Binjharpur, residential house at Dadhipur village in Kendrapara district and his office chamber.
He has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court. In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.36 dated 19.12.2025 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
