ABDO axes wife to death in Odisha’s Keonjhar district
The accused ABDO has been identified as Devi Prasad Jena, the ABDO of Banta Block in Bhadrak district.
Anandapur: In a shocking incident, an Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) has killed his wife in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Thursday.
The incident took place in the Danragan village under Hatadiha Block in Nandipada police station limits in the district.
The accused ABDO has been identified as Devi Prasad Jena, the ABDO of Banta Block in Bhadrak district.
As per the information, today a verbal spat erupted between the husband and wife. Soon, the argument took an ugly turn and the man took out an axe and attacked his wife. Accordingly, the wife sustained critical injury.
After hearing the scream the neighbour reached the spot and witnessed the shocking happening. They immediately took the injured woman to Bhadrak District Headquarter Hospital in critical condition. However, the doctor there declared her dead.
Family dispute is said to be the reason of the crime.
It has been learnt that the couple had a long-standing dispute with each other.
