98 students fall ill after consuming contaminated food in Odisha’s Koraput district
They have been admitted to the hospital in Bandhugan for treatment
Lakshmipur: In a worrying incident, at least 98 girl students fell ill after consuming contaminated food on Saturday in Koraput district of Odisha. The incident took place at the Baunsput Government UP School in Bandhugan Block of the District.
As per the information received, the students consumed food in the school and later it was found that a lizard had fallen in the food. Accordingly, at around 8 am, the students complained to the head master about the matter who immediately called the hospital for sending medical team for treatment. By that time the students had already fallen sick.
All the sick students have been admitted to Bandhugan hospital.
The Bandhugan Health Department team has reached the school and is monitoring the situation. By now all the students are doing well health wise.
