Sambalpur: At least 700 bags of paddy worth approximately Rs 7 lakh were damaged in Sambalpur district, Odisha, after a pipe burst, flooding the area.

The incident occurred near Bhatra Hospital Road, where farmer Kuber Bhukta had stored his harvest.

According to reports, a pipe near the threshing floor leaked last night, destroying the paddy. Bhukta alleges the mishap was due to the negligence of Shivshakti organisation, which operates under PhD on a contractual basis.
