70 people including kids fall ill after consuming Dahibara in Odisha’s Boudh district, watch

A team from Palsagora hospital and later another medical team from Manamunda reached the village and started treatment

Boudh: Over 70 villagers fell ill after consuming Dahibara in the Gabajor village under Manamunda police station limits in Boudh district of Odisha on Thursday evening. A medical team from Manamunda Health Center has reached the spot and started treatment.

As per the information received, people had bought and consumed Dahibara from a local Dahibara vendor at the weekly market in Gabajor village. Later, the vendor also went to the Gabajor village in the afternoon to sell it. Many people in the village, from children to adults, had consumed Dahibara from him.

Later, the villagers who had consumed the food started feeling dizzy while some of them also complained of having diarrhea and vomiting. Even many small children and people fell seriously ill.

On receiving the news, a team from Palsagora hospital reached the village and started treatment. As the number of critically injured persons increased, another team from Manamunda hospital also reached the village and started treatment.

Arrangements are being made to send many of the crtically injured patients to the hospital.
