While attending the a police briefing held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, the Police Commissioner informed that apart from the deployment of 64 platoons of police forces, as many as 400 officers will be stationed to maintain law and order in the City.

More number of security personnel will be deployed in sensitive areas of the Cuttack City, he added.

He further said that four meetings have been held with various organizations and communities and everyone have been urged to cooperate with the police and follow the law.

The Police Commissioner hoped that the Kali Puja, Diwali celebration and idol immersion procession would conclude peacefully.

Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, ACPs of all zones, and all police station officers were present in this briefing today.

Meanwhile, the city police urged the residents to strictly follow the advisory of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and use green firecrackers during Diwali celebrations between 7 PM and 9 PM.
