4 die in separate road mishap incidents in Odisha today
They died in two separate accidents that took place in the Rayagada district and Koraput district.
Gunpur/ Laxmipur: At least 4 persons died in separate road mishap incidents in Odisha today morning. They died in two separate accidents that took place in the Rayagada district and Koraput district.
In the first incident, a tipper truck lost control and hit a road side tree on the main road of Bhaleri Kudia village under Gunpur police station limits in Rayagada district. As a result, two people died and the driver was critically injured.
The deceased persons have been identified as Aliksha Patika and Ajay Palaka of Arjunguda village under Ramanaguda block.
According to information, the tipper met with an accident in the early hours of today while returning after unloading sand in Gunpur. The injured persons were rescued and shifted to the Gunpur hospital in Ambulances. However, two of them succumbed to the injury.
As his health condition deteriorated, the critically injured driver has been shifted to a hospital out of the State, informed Dr Sandeep Swain, a doctor at Gunpur Sub-Divisional Hospital.
In the second case of road mishap, two people died following head-on collision of two bikes in Narayanpatna of Koraput district. As many as four people sustained injury in this accident while two of them succumbed to the injury.
The accident took place late last night when two bikes collided head-on near the State Bank.
The deceased have been identified as Abhi Miniaka and Sarat Tadingi of Gadabaguda village.
The injured persons were first shifted to Narayanpatna Community Health Center and then to Koraput Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College cum hospital.
