20 e-bikes gutted after showroom catches fire in Konark
The incident took place at a showroom of battery-powered vehicles situated at the Madhipur Chhaka in Konark area
Gop: More than 20 e-bikes gutted and turned to ashes after a showroom caught fire in Konark area in Puri district of Odisha on Wednesday today at about 5 pm in the evening. After getting information, the Fire service Department reached the scene and doused the flames but by then the bikes were gutted.
As per reports, a fire broke out at a showroom of battery-powered vehicles situated at the Madhipur Chhaka in Konark area at around 5 pm today.
After witnessing the fire, the people present there informed the fire brigade. Accordingly, the Fire Services Department reached the spot and doused the flames. However, by the time the fire brigade reached, all the vehicles in the showroom were gutted.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. It is estimated that there were around 20 battery-powered vehicles in the said showroom, which is estimated to be worth Rs 25-30 lakhs.
