2 college students killed as bike crashes into divider in Odisha’s Sambalpur dist
They lost their lives as their motorcycle crashed into a road divider near Haldighat in Rairakhol area of Sambalpur district.
Rairakhol: In a tragic road accident, two college students killed after their bike crashed into the road divider in Sambalpur district of Odisha on Tuesday. The accident took place near Haldighat on the Rairakhol –Naktideul road in Rairakhol area of the district.
The identity of the deceased students are yet to be ascertained. However, they were Plus Two students of the Bhima Bhoi College.
According to information, the students were returning home in a bike after appearing for their examination when the accident occurred.
The speeding bike reportedly lost control and rammed into the road divider. Due to the impact, both the students were thrown out of the vehicle and banged on the road. As a result, two of them died on the spot while another student sustained critical injury.
After witnessing the road mishap the local people rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the injured students. However, two of them had already died on the spot. They rescued the injured student and sent him to a nearby hospital.
After getting information, Police rushed to the spot and initiated investigation. Police sent the bodies to the hospital for autopsy. Further probe of the matter is underway.
