Woman allegedly chopped off her brother-in-law’s private part after he refused to marry her sister in Mauaima area of Prayagraj
Prayagraj: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly chopped off her brother-in-law’s private part after he refused to marry her sister in Mauaima area of Prayagraj.
The incident came to light when 20-year-old Umesh, son of Ram Asare from Malkhanpur village in Mauaima, was found bleeding profusely in his room on the night of 16 October.
When the family members awakened by his screams, rushed to his room, found him with severe stab wounds and his private part severed. They immediately rushed him to the hospital and lodged a complaint with the police.
As the police investigated the matter, Umesh’s elder brother, Uday, is married to Manju. Over time, Umesh had developed a close relationship with Manju’s younger sister. The two had reportedly grown intimate and even vowed to marry each other. The Asare family was against the marriage. Eventually he backed off from the relationship, as he was interested in some other woman.
After the rejection, Manju’s younger sister fell into depression and started staying alone. Seeing her sister in pain, she could not control her anger and took revenge from him.
As per police, On the night of October 16, Manju waited until everyone in the house fell asleep. In the midnight, she took a knife and entered Umesh’s room. She then stabbed him multiple times and cut off his private parts.
Umesh then screamed for help, but by the time his family reached him, Manju had already fled the scene. His brother was horrified to find the young man soaked in blood. The family rushed him to a local hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
The police team are on search for absconding Manju, who has been hiding since the incident.
The doctors have confirmed that Umesh condition is stable and confirmed that he is out of danger, but need several months for full recovery.
