Shocking! Man stabbed to death on wedding day outside court in Uttar Pradesh
A 24-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death on his wedding day outside the district court premises in Bulandshahr.
Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death on his wedding day outside the district court premises in Bulandshahr on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the reports, the man had come to the court with his 23 year old partner to register their marriage. While the couple was getting passport-sized photographs clicked at a nearby shop, two men arrived on a motorcycle and attacked him with a knife.
He then died on the spot, while the attackers quickly escaped. The murder weapon was later recovered outside a nearby private hospital. Further, Police revealed that the man was in a relationship with his stepfather’s niece and the two had eloped two days earlier.
Her family had reportedly lodged a complaint against him on the same morning of the incident. The victim’s family has accused the woman’s relatives of being involved in the murder but no formal complaint has been filed yet.
Authorities also stated that the victim had a criminal background with at least eight cases registered against him, including theft and offences under the Gangster Act and Arms Act. He had been out on bail at the time of the incident.
After the killing, tensions escalated when the man’s mother assaulted the woman at the district hospital. Police intervened and later detained the woman for questioning. Additionally, police has started an investigation into the matter.
