Chhattisgarh: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old NEET aspirant ended his life by shooting himself inside his home on in Bilaspur. The incident occurred on Saturday.
According to the reports, the boy had been under extreme stress and depression because of the pressure of preparing for the highly competitive medical entrance exam.
The incident happened when he was alone in his room. Family members stated they heard a gunshot and rushed to the room, only to find him already dead.
Further, the police confirmed that the exact reasons behind the self-kill will be clear after the post-mortem report but early information suggests that he was struggling with severe mental stress.
The victim was a dedicated student who spent most of his time studying. However, in the recent months, he had reportedly been showing signs of mental distress and anxiety due to the heavy academic workload.
Neighbours and friends also described him as a bright and hardworking student but they noticed that he seemed troubled and withdrawn lately.
