Massive fire destroys several shops in Mumbai, cooling ops underway

A major fire broke out in several shops late last night in Kurla west area of Mumbai, no injuries or casualties have been reported.

Kurla: In a shocking incident, a major fire broke out in several shops late last night in Kurla west area of Mumbai. The incident caused panic among the local residents.

According to the reports, the fire started at around 2:30 am and spread reapidly through a row of motor spare parts shops, destroying goods worth lakhs of rupees.

Further, more than 10 fire brigade vehicles rushed to the site as soon as the fire was reported. Fire fighters worked tirelessly for nearly four hours to control the blaze.

Speaking to ANI, Divisional Fire Officer SB Bhosale said “The cause of the fire remains unclear, and there have been no reported casualties.”

“After approximately four hours of effort, the fire was brought under control, and cooling operations are currently underway. The cause of the fire is still being investigated,” official said.

As of now, no injuries or casualties have been reported. Additionally, authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the fire.
