Man falls from 10th floor, narrowly escapes death
The man slipped from his apartment's window while sleeping and fortunately get entangled in a metal grill two floors down.
Mumbai: A man from Gujarat narrowly escapes near-fatal fall from 10th floor on Thursday. The mishap took place after he slipped off his apartment’s window at the Times Galaxy building in the Jahangirabad area.
The victim man has been identified as 57 year old Nitin Adiya.
Reports suggest he was asleep when fell off the apartment. Fortunately, he got stuck on the eighth floor’s grill and narrowly escaped.
However, Adiya remained stuck upside down in the grill for nearly an hour before the residents of the building spotted him and alerted the fire department.
After getting information the firefighters reached the scene and initiated a rescue mission. After a tough operation of about 1 hour they managed to rescue the entangled man.
Later, the officials said that the operation required careful planning and coordination, as the man had been hanging in a dangerous position for a long time.
Following the successful rescue, Adiya was taken by ambulance to Gurukrupa Hospital for medical examination.
