Hyderabad couple arrested for streaming private videos online for money, sent to judicial remand
The couple were using social media platforms to share live links of explicit content in return for payment.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a couple in Hyderabad have been arrested for allegedly conducting live sexual acts and sharing private videos online in exchange for money.
The Hyderabad couple, residents of Mallikarjun Nagar under the jurisdiction of Amberpet Police Station, had reportedly turned their residence into a base for this illegal activity. They were using social media platforms to share live links of explicit content in return for payment.
“A wife and husband were arrested for making online live nude videos on social media platforms and websites on June 26. They are taking money and providing live link of nude sex live video of them,” said Y Harish Kumar, ACP, Kachiguda.
Based on an anonymous complaint, the police launched an investigation and uncovered high-tech recording gadgets, live-streaming equipment and digital payment records from their residence.
The case has been registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
The accused were produced before a local court and have been remanded to judicial custody. Additionally, Police are investigating the case and collecting evidence related to the incident.
