Mumbai: Passengers arriving at Mumbai International Airport’s Terminal 2 on Thursday from Bengaluru were confused and excited to witness an unusual sight. They were confused because their luggage was not there in the conveyor belt while they were excited that the belt had a number of gifts.
The thing was that the gifts had been kept there for each of the passengers tagged by their name. The surprise was part of a Christmas-themed activation by Marriott Bonvoy to mark the festive season.
The baggage belt was wrapped in festive decor, while Christmas decorations dotted the arrival hall, momentarily breaking the monotony of a routine airport arrival.
Each gift box was personalized and tagged with the passenger’s seat number. Travellers across airlines, including Air India flyers, received these hampers.
A passenger who shared the moment on X described it as a “genuinely heartwarming surprise,” adding that the gesture brought smiles to weary travellers after landing in Mumbai.
