Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister of India, H.D. Deve Gowda, has been hospitalized in Bengaluru due to a urinary tract infection (UTI) with symptoms of high fever and chills. The 92-year-old leader was admitted to Manipal Hospital on Old Airport Road on Monday evening.

According to hospital authorities, Deve Gowda’s condition is currently stable, and he is undergoing medical management under the close supervision of specialists.

Deve Gowda, a prominent politician with a career spanning over seven decades, has been actively involved in Karnataka’s coalition politics. As the President of the Janata Dal (Secular) party, Deve Gowda continues to play a significant role in shaping the state’s politics. His son, H.D. Kumaraswamy, serves as the party’s state unit President.
