In a tragic incident, five people were killed and one critically injured after Thar crashed into a divider on National Highway-48 in Gurugram on Saturday morning.
According to the reports, the accident occurred at around 4:30 am while the vehicle was leaving the highway towards Rajiv Chowk. The car was going at high speed when it lost balance and hit the central divider.
The crash was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled. Among the six people inside, three women and two men died immediately. The only survivor, a man was reportedly taken to Medanta Hospital in critical condition.
Further, Gurugram police quickly reached the spot, recovered the bodies and started investigating the accident. Footage from the site shows how badly the car was damaged.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the group had traveled from Uttar Pradesh to Gurugram for work.
Additionally, authorities have reminded drivers to follow speed limits and drive carefully, especially on highway exits and during early morning hours.
