Elderly Man killed by family after objecting to daughter-in-law’s dance at Durga puja pandal

Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident, a 62-year-old man lost his life after being attacked by his own family members. The incident took place in Mauganj district of Madhya Pradesh

According to the reports, the man objected to his daughter-in-law’s decision to perform a dance at a Durga Puja pandal.

His objection led to a heated quarrel at home. During the argument, his grandson attacked him with a shovel and later his son and wife also joined in beating him with wooden sticks. Further, the assault turned violent and the man died on the spot.

Police officials confirmed that all three accused were arrested within 24 hours of the crime. Additionally, a case has been registered under the relevant sections of law and the accused have been presented before the court.

Authorities have started an investigation into the matter.
