Daylight murder in Meerut caught on camera, circulated on social media
A video of man shot dead by his friend in Meerut has gone viral on social media. Police have started an investigation into the matter.
Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a video of a daylight murder has gone viral on social media in Meerut. The 11 second video shows a man lying on the ground while another person shoots him multiple times in the chest.
According to the reports, the incident occurred near a tube well in the forested area of Narhada village under the Lohiannagar police station. The act was recorded by one of the attackers, who then fled the scene.
Hours later, the victim’s body was found in the same location. Further, police investigations suggest that the killing was carried out by someone known to the victim, while another known man filmed the crime.
Authorities are reportedly examining whether the victim was alive when the video was filmed. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify those involved.
Additionally, officers are also probing the reason behind the murder and how the video was made viral.
