Pahandi, Chherapanhara by the Gajapati and pulling of the chariots are the main elements. Besides, Odissi dance in front of the chariots is a mesmerising happening of the day.
People show their devotion to Lord Jagannath in different ways. A number of devotee groups perform ‘Sankirtan’ on the Badadanda in respect of the holy trinity.
