New 500 rupee note and 10 rupees note issued by RBI by way of this the bank aims to reduce counterfeiting of notes
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that soon new 500 rupee note and 10 rupees note will be issued to make the transactionsafer and stop counterfeiting. Now, the ‘banker of every bank’ that is RBI has issued new Rs. 10 and Rs. 500 denomination banknotes. It will be one of the newest additions to the Mahatma Gandhi series.
The RBI website read, “The 500 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series bear signature of the Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The note has motif of “Red Fort” on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage.”
The website further added, “The base colour of the note is stone grey. The note has other designs and geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at obverse and reverse. The size of the note is 66 mm x 150 mm”

1. See through register with denominational 8 Mahatma Gandhi’s Portrait and electrotype numeral 500
2. Latent image with denominational (500) watermarks
3. Number panel with numerals in ascending font on the top left side and bottom right side numeral 500
4. Denominational numeral in Devnagari
5. Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre
6. Micro letters ‘R’ and ‘India’
7. Colour shift windowed security thread
8. Denominational numeral with Rupee Symbol in (500) in colour changing ink (green to blue) on bottom right with inscriptions R’, and ‘RBI’.
9. Colour of Ashoka pillar emblem on the right the thread changes from green to blue when the note is tilted.
10. Guarantee clause, Governor’s signature with Promise Clause and RBI emblem towards right of Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait.

On the new Rs. 10 note the RBI website said, “the new 10 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series bear signature of the Governor, Reserve Bank of India. The note has motif of ‘Sun Temple, Konark’ on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage.”
Further the site read, “the base colour of the note is chocolate brown. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the observe and reverse. The size of the new note is 63mm x 123mm.”
