Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty revealed that he rejected an Rs 40 crore ad that was to promote a specific tobacco brand. The actor says that money can never be bigger than health, values, and responsibility towards family.

In a recent interview, Suniel Shetty said he refused the deal on principle. He clearly mentioned that he does not want to be associated with anything that can harm people. Furthermore, he said that as a father, he feels it is important to set the right example for his children, Ahan and Athiya.

“For a few crores, will I compromise that? No, I won’t,” Shetty said, adding that such choices define a person’s legacy.

The actor also spoke about his difficult phase in life that he had to face after his father’s illness and death in 2017. At that time, he stepped away from films completely to take care of his family.

Sunil Shetty admitted that returning to films after a long break was not easy, but he focused on self-growth, fitness, and mental strength.

He said even today, young people respect him, and that respect matters more than money or fame.
