Babil Khan has reactivated his Instagram account after several months marking his return to social media. In his comeback post, he shared two striking photos, one of him sitting at a desk in a red sweater with a flower in his mouth.
Another, looking at the camera through a glass tumbler, along with a heartfelt poem about his struggles with depression, insomnia and anxiety.
The caption read, “Didn’t mean to eavesdrop, This glass house has lean walls. I wore my heart on my sleeves, now I have blood soaked t-shirts I needed time to heal, My demons left me with deep cuts. insomnia and panic had me making wired confessions, I was crying out for help, I couldn’t stifle my expression, the toll was heavy on my health, my soul was tired of repression,”
“you were fighting with your girl while I was fighting my depression…wait.”,” he further added.
Many industry friends expressed support on his recent post. Vijay Varma commented, “Babil we got your back,” Gulshan Devaiah wrote, “Look who’s here,” and Aparshakti Khurana added, “Bro,” with a heart emoji.
Babil’s return comes after a viral video he shared in May, where he appeared emotional while criticizing the “fake” and “rude” side of Bollywood. In that clip, he mentioned stars like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arijit Singh and admitted he was having a tough time personally.
Babil’s family and team clarified that the May video was taken out of context. He was having a difficult day and is now feeling better and he genuinely admires the peers he mentioned for their talent and contribution to Indian cinema.
