Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 winner Rakesh Poojary passes away at 33 due to heart attack, shocking fans and colleagues.

Rakesh Poojary, the brilliant winner of Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, broke hearts of fans with his untimely death from a heart attack at the young age of 33. The tragedy happened while attending a Mehndi ceremony in Nitte, Udupi district, when Rakesh fell around 2 am on Monday. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Karkala Town Police Station.

Rakesh’s charming wit and energetic nature had won the hearts of viewers in Karnataka. With a long career in reality TV, movies, and stage plays, he had become a household name. Rakesh started from the Chaitanya Kalavidaru drama troupe and picked up steam by appearing on the Tulu reality show Kadale Bajil in 2014. Even after enduring more than 150 auditions challenges, Rakesh was able to manage and maintain himself in the entertainment industry.

The claim to fame for the actor came with Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, where he won in 2020. He had also been a member of the runner-up team in Season 2. Rakesh’s filmography includes Kannada films like Pailwaan and Idu Entha Lokavayya, and Tulu films like Petkammi, Ammer Police, Pammana The Great, Umil, and Illokkel. His skill and enthusiasm for the arts made him a star in the local entertainment scene.

When news of his death broke, tributes poured in from his fellow colleagues as well as fans. Actor and Comedy Khiladigalu judge Rakshitha posted an emotional tribute describing Rakesh as the “sweetest kindest and most loving human” who she had to privilege to work with. Shivraj KR Pete, an actor, attested to the death of Rakesh and explained how sad he was to have lost a friend. Fans flooded social media, mourning and lamenting the untimely loss of the young actor.

Rakesh’s final Instagram post, a Mehndi ceremony photo, has gone viral, further intensifying the group sorrow. His Instagram bio carried a poignant message, “Life is short,” which now means even more to his fans. The entertainment world is still trying to come to terms with such young, energetic talents leaving such a big void behind.
