The most-awaited James Cameron’s Avatar Series latest film – Avatar Fire and Ash opened with a Rs 20 crore on Day 1 in India.

The movie made it’s thearitical debut on December 19 in the country. However, compared to expecatation, Avatar Fire and Ash opened at Rs 20 crore in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Though, this is decent number for a film opening, in comparison to the franchaise’s previous movie Avatar: The Way Of Water (2022), it still falls far behind. It is pertinent to mention that the Avatar: The Way Of Water (2022) movie collected Rs 40.3 crore in India on the first day of release in theatres. It made Rs 391 crore back in 2022. It has 3,800 screens in India at the time of its release.

Meanwhile, The sci-fi action adventure drama minted $43.1 million within just two days at the international box office.

According to Deadline, the movie could see a huge opening in China, with an estimated collection of around $17 million. With this, the movie’s opening day collection will reach around $60 million worldwide.
