Aamir Khan drops hint on sequel of sleeper hit Andaz Apna Apna, reflects on movies he turned down
Actor Aamir Khan while interacting with media on the eve of his birthday on Thursday dropped major hints about Andaz Apna Apna 2.
Birthday boy Aamir Khan dropped a major hint on the much-awaited Andaz Apna Apna 2. While speaking to the media on Thursday, Aamir said that he and Salman Khan would love to do the film together.
He can be quoted saying, “We would all want Andaz Apna Apna 2. We have told Raj ji (director Rajkumar Santoshi) to work on the script. As soon as his script is ready, Salman and I would definitely want to work on it. I think audience would want to watch Andaz Apna Apna 2. He is working on the script.”
Andaz Apna Apna (1994) was a sleeper hit and it tanked in the box office upon release. Later on it emerged as a cult hit shocking everyone. The film revolves around two gold diggers (Salman and Aamir) who woo two rich girls played by Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon.
The birthday boy also reflected on some scripts he had rejected which turned out to become blockbuster hits. Speaking about Darr (1993) in which Shah Rukh played the antagonist, he said that Yash Chopra’s vision of casting him turned out to be fruitful. Initially he was cast for the role but he stepped down and the film went to Shah Rukh.
He reminisces that he was approached for Bajrangi Bhaijaan but he suggested Salman would be a better suit for the role. He also spoke about Raj Kumar Hirani considering him for Munna Bhai which could not be finalised.
He recently shocked his fans after he revealed about his one and half year old relationship with Gauri Spratt. He said that she is his live-in partner.
