The YouTube Premium Lite plan has been launched in India. As the name suggested the Premium Lite plan is the more affordable version of the YouTube Premium plan. It allows users to stream content with fewer ads and features if compared to the standard plan.

The Premium Lite plan from YouTube gets three differences if compared to the standard plan. The Premium Lite plan offers ad-free YouTube streaming for most videos offered on the platform. This includes content from gaming, fashion, beauty, news and other genres.
However, the music and music videos on the platform still come with ads. Ads might be still visible for you if you search or browse the app. The other important difference is the non-support for downloading videos for offline playback, as well as background playback.
In terms of cost, the YouTube Premium Lite costs Rs 89 per month. The Premium plan costs Rs 149 per month.
Apart from India, the Premium Lite plan is available in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and United States.
