TVS has launched its new entry level electric scooter-Orbiter in India. The TVS Orbiter launched in India at Rs 99,900 and it seems that the manufacturer is making its portfolio stronger in the e-scooter segment. The Orbiter is slotted below the iQube in its electric scooter range.
TVS Orbiter specifications
The TVS Orbiter electric scooter is offered with a single 3.1kWh battery pack that offers a claimed IDC range of 158km. This is quite opposite to the iQube which is offered in multiple variants. The TVS iQube base variant gets a 2.2kWh battery with 94km IDC.
Even though the Orbiter’s powertrain specifications are not mentioned on the website, the top speed is limited to 68kmph.
TVS Orbiter gets 14-inch front wheel with 12-inch rear wheel. When it comes to tech features on the scooter, it offers turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air updates, and safety alerts. The riders get Eco and Power modes on the scooter. There are hill-hold assist, parking assist and cruise control features too.
When it comes to design, the Orbiter gets a minimalist boxy design. The side panel appears to be a single piece. The electric scooter gets a RoboCop-like LED light and the design seems to be similar to the TVS Jupiter.
There is a 34-litre underseat storage in the electric scooter and the company claims that two helmets can be accommodated in it. There is also a 290mm flat floorboard. When it comes to colours, the Orbiter gets six colours.
