Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol variant receives 5-star rating in BNCAP crash test

Tata Safari and Harrier petrol variants has recently undergone the Bharat NCAP crash test. The test results have now been published on the Bharat NCAP portal. Both the Tata Safari and Harrier has received a score of five-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test.

Earlier, the diesel versions of the car models had also undergone the test and received spectacular scores. The results of the petrol variants are the same as the diesel versions of the models. That means, the car models have received a score of 30.08 of 32 points in adult protection and 44.54 of 49 points in child occupant protection, respectively.

The petrol-powered Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier will be offered in the same variant list as their diesel counterparts. The company has also declared that the models will get exclusive options named as Fearless Ultra and Fearless Ultra Red Dark.

Meanwhile, the company plans to release the Harrier and the Safari with a 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi turbo-petrol engine that delivers power of 158bhp and 255Nm. This engine option will be paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions.
