Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 launch to take place sooner than expected, will be sold alongside Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be powered by a parallel-twin, oil-cooled engine. The power is expected to be more than 50 hp.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be the most powerful motorcycle from the manufacturer. The company had revealed some pictures of the motorcycle some time ago. A recent report has revealed that the Himalayan 750 will be launching sooner than expected and it is already in the final stages of development.

In an interaction with MotorcycleNews, Mark Wells, Global Head of Product Strategy and Industrial Design, Royal Enfield said that motorcycle is in a stage that is more than an early prototype. However, the Global Head did not reveal about the expected launch date of the motorcycle.

Even though the launch details are unknown, Mark Wells confirmed that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be sold alongside Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. This means that buyers will have an option for either the 450cc or 750cc variant. The Lead Designer at Royal Enfield, Steve Everitt, said (to the above mentioned publication) that the engine capacity of the motorcycle (Himalayan 750cc) will be nearly 100cc more than 650cc motorcycles of RE.

Himalayan 750 will be powered by a parallel-twin engine that is oil-cooled in nature. The engine will be paired with six-speed transmission along with slipper/assist clutch. The engine output is expected to be more than 50hp and around 55Nm.

The motorcycle offers dual front disc brakes with Bybre callipers. When it comes to wheels, the motorcycle offers 19/17-inch spoked wheels. There is a tall windscreen along with TFT dash in the motorcycle. There is a single upswept exhaust which seems different than the Bear 650. The fuel tank of the motorcycle is expected to be larger than the 450. We can expect the Himalayan 750 to be bigger and sturdier than the 450. The front profile of the bigger Himalayan is bit similar to its younger sibling.
