The all new River Indie Gen 3 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The latest iteration of its electric scooter comes with a host of upgrades on mechanical and technical parts. It is available in five colour options with contrasting black accents.

River Indie Gen 3: What’s new?

The latest generation of the the electric scooter has received updated tyres for better grip along with a redesigned display. The updated display now shows clearer range and charging information. The Indie Gen 3 has also got better app connectivity which enables it to show ride statistics, real-time charging status and customisable data points.

The storage space remains unchanged with the scooter continuing to be equipped to offer a huge 43 litres of underseat storage along with 12 litres of glove box space.

The electric scooter now features Hill-hold assist. Moreover, River claims that it has tweaked the riding dynamics as per rider feedback.

Mechanically, the scooter continues to use a 4kWh battery with a claimed IDC range of 163km. The engine offers a top power of 6.7kW and can reach a top speed of 90kph. according to company claims, it takes about five hours to charge from 0 to 80 percent. Braking is handled by discs at both ends with a combined braking system.

It is available in five colour options with contrasting black accents.

The new scooter was unveiled at River’s first Delhi store in Rajouri Garden, which will serve as the company’s northern hub. Currently, River now has 34 outlets across India in cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore, Patna and Hubli. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to expand to 80 stores by March 2026, with upcoming showrooms in Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, thereby expanding its presence across middle and northern India.
