The Indian market will soon get a new upgraded TVS Raider 125, which is currently one of the highest-selling motorcycles of the company. The new 125cc sporty bike will come with an array of updates including a rear disc brake.

If reports are to be belived then the updated Raider 125 will feature a rear disc brake, along with a single-channel ABS and a new paint scheme.

With a rear disc brake, the TVS Raider 125 will become the first motorcycle in its class to offer this option. The ongoing TVS does not have the disc brake at front for the affordable Drum variant of the Raider 125. Though, the other variants are equipped with the front disc brake, they dont have it at the rear.

With ABS, TVS Raider 125 will become one of the first sub-125cc motorcycle with an ABS. According to the currently policy, all two-wheelers above 125cc need to come with an ABS and anything below that needs to have a CBS system. But it looks like the government is in the process of implementing a new policy where all two-wheelers from January 2026 onwards need to have a single-channel ABS system.

TVS is likely to hike the price of the updated Raider 125, which will allow it to increase its revenue. But the quantum of the hike shouldn’t be a lot, as the consumers in this segment are quite price-conscious.
