The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has won the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award. The Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) award is the most credible and coveted Indian automotive award, and is often referred to as the ‘Oscar’ of the Indian automotive industry.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris has pocketed this coveted ICOTY award after beating the new-generation EVs, SUVs, and family cars. The Victoris with its price, fuel-efficiency, styling, comfort, safety, performance, and overall value for Indian buyers has managed to emerge as the winner.
The Indian Car of the Year 2026 has several finalists including the Hyundai Creta Electric, Hyundai Venue, Kia Carens Clavis EV, Kia Syros, Mahindra XEV 9E, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Skoda Kylaq and the Tata Harrier EV. These shortlisted cars were thoroughly evaluated by the ICOTY jury that includes a broad cross-section of the Indian automotive media and expert reviewers.
