Gold price in India drops by Rs 5,500 on last day of Dusshera

Bhubaneswar: The gold price in India has decreased on the festive day of Durga Puja on October 2nd, 2025. On Thursday, the gold prices dropped by Rs 5,500 per kilogram at Rs 11,86,900 and Rs 550 per 10 grams at Rs 1,18,690 for 24 carat. Similarly, the prices of 22 carat gold has been cut by Rs 5000 per 1 kilogram at Rs 10,88,000 and Rs 500 per 10 gram at Rs 1,08,800.
Yesterday, 10 gms of the 22 ct yellow metal was priced at Rs. 1,08,750 in India.
The price of gold in Bhubaneswar on 2nd October for 10 gm is at Rs. 1,18,690 for 24 ct, and Rs. 1,08,800 per 10 gm for 22 ct gold.
Yesterday, the gold cost in the capital city was recorded at Rs 1,18,310 and Rs 1,08,450 for 24 carat and 22 carat per 10 grams, respectively.
The rising cost of the gold makes the customers less interested in buying gold jewelery during this festive season.
