Citroen C3 Aircross receives 5 Stars in Bharat NCAP Crash Test

Citroen India has claimed that the Citroen C3 Aircross has received 5 Stars in the Bharat NCAP Crash Test. The car has scored five-star rating with 27.05/32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP).

The Citroen C3 Aircross has undergone the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP) crash test in India. According to Citroen India, the five-seater, 1.2-litre turbo petrol automatic variant of the C3 Aircross had undergone the test and achieved a five-star rating in adult occupant protection.

The SUV that packs an array of safety features including ESC, airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors has scored 27.05/32 in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), translating to a full five-star rating. For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the Aircross managed 40/49 points, giving it a four-star rating. The tested model tested was the five-seater, 1.2-litre turbo petrol automatic variant.

What are the Safety Features of the Aircross?

The standard safety features of the Aircross includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, and seatbelt reminders for all passengers.

Citroen C3 Aircross Safety Score  

In the crash test, the C3 Aircross scored 11.05/16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, and a full 16/16 in the side impact test. The side pole impact test also met Bharat NCAP requirements. For child safety, the SUV achieved maximum points in the dynamic crash tests (24/24), while securing 12/12 in CRS installation and 4/13 in the vehicle assessment score.

Citroen C3 Aircross price

The Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2L Turbo engine with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. According to the company, the Citroën Aircross is built to be tough on the outside, caring on the inside. The price of the Citroen C3 Aircross varies between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 17 lakh as per regions.

Meanwhile, the company is preparing to launch the new Citroen Aircross X. Citroen has released some teaser of the upcoming model. Moreover, the bookings for the Aircross X has already commenced across the country. The car is expected to be launched in the coming days. The new model might come with similar features updates as the recently introduced Basalt X(ventilated seats, cruise control, in-car voice assistant, and a push button start-stop system) and the C3 X(proxi-sense passive entry, cruise control with speed limiter).
