Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce an updated version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which was launched in early 2023. The subcompact crossover SUV set a sales milestone of 2-lakh sales within just 17 months of its market debut. Keeping in mind its success, the carmaker is now preparing to unveil an updated Fronx in 2025.

Here are the key details of the new 2025 Maruti Fronx facelift that we know so far.

What will be new?

The 2025 Fronx facelift is expected to arrive with Maruti Suzuki’s own strong hybrid powertrain, which is Codenamed HEV. The company will also offer this strong hybrid system in it’s smaller and mid-level cars, including the Swift, Baleno, Brezza, and the upcoming mini MPV.

According to sources, the new powertrain will not only increase the fuel efficiency of the vehicles but also reduce their running costs and carbon footprint. Additionally, it is expected to be significantly more cost-effective than Toyota’s Atkinson cycle powertrain. This new powertrain will make the 2025 Maruti Fronx facelift as one of the most fuel-efficient cars in India.

Though, the company has not revealed the fuel efficiency figures of the 2025 Maruti Fronx facelift, reports have indicated that it will deliver fuel economy of over 35 km/l.

Enhanced Safety with ADAS?

Meanwhile, a test mule of the upcoming Fronx was recently spotted. The test mule seems to have an ADAS sensor on its front grille. This sighting has fueled speculation that the compact crossover SUV will feature an ADAS suite with its midlife update in 2025. However, media reports suggest that the Maruti e Vitara will likely be the first Maruti Suzuki model to offer ADAS in 2025.

The company is also expected to make some enhancements on the exterior and interior of the new Maruti Fronx hybrid. The top-end variant of the current Fronx is loaded with features such as a heads-up display (HUD), a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, connected car technology, six airbags, and more. The new Fronx might get additional features.
