2025 Mahindra Thar facelift launched in India, price starts at Rs 9.99 lakh

The Mahindra Thar facelift has been launched in India and the price starts at Rs 9.99 lakh. 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift launched with some exterior and interior changes over the older model. However, the engine options on the ‘Thar’ facelift are the same engine options as the outgoing model. There is no soft-top option available in the 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift.

2025 Mahindra Thar facelift is available in hardtop variants and no soft-top variants. The price range of the SUV is between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 16.99 lakh. If we compare the prices, the Thar facelift costs Rs 32,000 less (entry variant) than the outgoing model. The top variant of the SUV costs Rs 16.99 lakh.

There are 1.5 diesel, 2.0 petrol and 2.2 diesel engine options of the SUV. The 1.5 diesel engine is offered in AXT RWD and LXD RWD variants while the 2.0 petrol engine is offered in LXT RWD AT, LXT 4WD and LXT 4WD AT variants. On the other hand, the 2.2 diesel engine is offered in LXT 4WD and LXT 4WD AT variants.

If we point out the changes, the Mahindra Thar facelift gets a body-coloured grille along with dual-tone front bumper. Mahindra offers two new colour options on the SUV and they are Tango Red and Battleship Grey. The Mahindra Thar facelift seems the same as the outgoing model. The SUV still gets 18-inch alloy wheels.

When it comes to interior, the Thar facelift gets new black dashboard theme, refreshed steering wheel, rear AC vents, centre armrests for front passenger, fuel-lid opener button and much more. There is also 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen on the SUV.

The engine options include 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that offers 152hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine that offers 119hp and 2.2-litre diesel engine that offers 132hp. 4WD is offered on 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options.
