2025 Honda Shine 125 launched in India, gets a price tag of Rs 84,493

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has updated the Shine 125 motorcycle in India and the starting price of the motorcycle is Rs 84,493. Just like the earlier variant, the 2025 Honda Shine 125 is offered in two variants- drum variant and disc variant. While the drum variant (bas variant) costs Rs 84,493, the disc variant (top variant) costs Rs 89,245.

The engine of the Honda Shine 125 is now OBD2B-compliant. It offers the same output as it used to offer in the older generation. The Shine 125 is powered by a 123.94cc single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled in nature. In terms of output, the engine produces 10.6 bhp at 7500 rpm along with peak torque of 11Nm at 6000rpm. It is coupled with 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle gets telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. While the base variant gets drum brakes at the front and rear, the higher variant gets disc brake at the front. The rear tyre of the motorcycle is now wider at 90mm.

In terms of electronics, the 2025 Honda Shine 125 gets digital instrument console that offers real-time fuel efficiency, gear position indicator, service alert information, Eco indicator and much more. The motorcycle also offers USB Type-C charging port which can be used to charge smartphones. There is also an idle/stop system that helps with fuel efficiency.

When it comes to colour options, the motorcycle gets six paint choices and that includes Pearl Igneous Black, Geny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.

Speaking about price increase, the Drum variant gets a price hike of Rs 1242 while the Disc variant gets a price hike of Rs 1994.

In India, the Honda Shine 125 competes with the likes of Hero Glamour 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 and other commuter motorcycles in the 125cc segment.
