People who will not link their Aadhaar with PAN by March 31 will be fined 10,000 rupees along with non-operation of PAN.
According to circulars of Income Tax department, a fine of 10,000 rupees will be charged under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act. However,if a PAN becomes non-operational it will become operative if it is linked with Aadhaar.
PAN card is used by individuals in various financial transactions like banking, tax filling and also as an ID proof.
