Woman stuck in blind date’s house after lockdown

Beijing: Maximum of the woman imagine being on a first date that does not end. A woman in China has faced such a situation as a citywide lockdown was imposed due to rising Covid cases including Delta and Omicron variants.

Reportedly, the woman, identified as Ms Wang, was having dinner at her blind date’s house when part of the city was put under lockdown. As a result she could not leave his house and was stuck there for a week.

Wang kept posting the videos of the lockdown period at her blind date’s house on Chinese social media platform WeChat.

She had recently returned to the city of Zhengzhou from Guangzhou ahead of the Lunar New Year, said reports.

Wang mentioned in her stories that her parents had arranged more than 10 blind dates for her to choose for marriage and this was the fifth date. This boy had claimed that he was good at cooking and had invited her for a dinner.

However, during the meal, she discovered that her date’s community had gone into swift lockdown due to cases of Covid-19, and ended up being unable to leave his house for almost a week.

It is still not sure that whether she still remains stuck at her date’s house. However, cases of Covid-19 have persisted in Zhengzhou recently.

Notably, non-essential businesses were ordered to close in the city, and there have been large-scale Covid-19 testing drives rolled out to test the city’s residents for any asymptomatic Covid-19 carriers.
