Mexico: Sunita Williams lands on Earth on Saturday. NASA has shared a video of the touchdown on its official X handle.
The Starliner spacecraft is back on Earth and landed at 12:01 am ET (9:31 am IST) on Saturday reported NASA on its official X handle.
The Boeing Space station uncrewed the Starliner and the spacecraft landed in White Sands Space Harbor, New Mexico in USA.
It is worth mentioning that on June 28, Indian American NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are stuck in space and were forced to take shelter in Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft as a Russian satellite broke into pieces and the debris came close to International Space Station, said Reuters.
As a standard precautionary measure, Mission Control instructed all crew members to seek shelter in their respective spacecraft. Therefore , Williams and Wilmore presumably took refuge in the Starliner capsule.
As per the report, a defunct Russian Earth Observation satellite, RESURS-P1, broke into 100 pieces. This forced the astronauts to take shelter in their spacecraft for an hour.
