Moscow: Russian president Vladimir Putin most likely to step down in January amid ‘fears he has Parkinson’s disease’, reports claimed on Friday.
A report of The Sun quoted Moscow political scientist Valery Solovei as saying the President’s 37-year-old girlfriend, Alina Kabaeva, and his two daughters are urging him to quit his post.
The Sun quoted Solovei saying: “There is a family, it has a great influence on him. He intends to make public his handover plans in January”.
Putin has served as the Russian president for over 20 years.
