US supports India’s air strike on JeM terror camps in Pakistan: Mike Pompeo to Doval

New Delhi: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Secretary of State Mike Prompeo had a telephonic conversation late last night, where the former asserted that the US supports India’s decision to take action against  Jesh-e- Mohammad terror camp on Pakistani soil, sources said.

“NSA Ajit Doval and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had a telephonic conversation late last night. Pompeo said that the US supported India’s decision to take action against JeM terror camp on Pakistani soil,” ANI tweeted quoting sources.

During the conversation, Pompeo said NSA Doval that Washington supported India’s decision to take action against Jaish-e-Mohammad’s terror camp in Balakot, Pakistan, ANI reported.

In a related development, the US State Department has urged both India and Pakistan to take immediate steps with an aim to de-escalate the situation and hold dialogue to reduce tension between neighbouring countries.

Nearly two weeks after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama that killed over 40 CRPF jawans, Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on terror camps across the Line of Control in Balakot on Tuesday.

Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the LOC were completely destroyed in the IAF air strikes.
