During the conversation, Pompeo said NSA Doval that Washington supported India’s decision to take action against Jaish-e-Mohammad’s terror camp in Balakot, Pakistan, ANI reported.
In a related development, the US State Department has urged both India and Pakistan to take immediate steps with an aim to de-escalate the situation and hold dialogue to reduce tension between neighbouring countries.
Nearly two weeks after a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama that killed over 40 CRPF jawans, Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on terror camps across the Line of Control in Balakot on Tuesday.
