UK Extends Nationwide Lockdown Till July 17 To Contain Infections Of New Covid-19 Strain

New Delhi: In the wake of rising cases of new strain of Covid-19 in the UK, the British government has extended the nationwide lockdown till July 17.

The government decided to quarantine the travelers from other countries for at least 10 days as the cases of UK strain of Covid-19 kept rising, reported the Telegraph, on Saturday.

Under the new lockdown laws, local councils in England get the authority to close restaurants, shops and public spaces, added the Telegraph.

Britain has recorded 36,17,459 Covid-19 cases along with 97,329 deaths till date, reported Worldometer website.
