Suicide Bomber Attacks Wedding In Afghanistan

Nangarhar: On Friday, a suicide bomber carried on an attack at a wedding ceremony at the eastern province of Nangarhar, Afghanistan.

The attack caused the death of at least five people and leaving 40 people injured. The number of casualties keeps increasing, mentioned a report by Tolo News.

The attacker is believed to be a minor in his early teens. The Taliban, who has pledged to try to reduce civilian casualties, denied responsibility for the attack.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) has a strong connection present in Nangarhar. Last month, a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police vehicle in Nangarhar’s capital, Jalalabad, killing at least three officers and six civilians and wounding another 13 people.

ISIL claimed responsibility for that attack.
