1 killed, 7 injured in mass shooting in Graduation party at Southwest Philadelphia
Philadelphia: One person was killed and seven others were injured in Southwest Philadelphia when a gunman open fired at a graduation party on Sunday.
Four of the victims who suffered from gunshot wounds to their legs were 15 to 16-year-old teenagers, said Richard Ross, Police Commissioner, Philadelphia.
The rest of the victims, who were all aged in their twenties suffered from wounds on different parts of their bodies. However, one of them succumbed to the injury soon after being shot, as reported by CNN.
Commissioner Ross further added that a crowd of sixty people were present at the graduation party when the firing broke.
The Police are still searching for the suspect as an investigation into the matter has already begun. The motive behind the incident is yet to be known.
